This 14-day tour of the islands strategically covers a selection of sites that will enable you to observe the best of what the islands have to offer in a 2 week period. Starting with Saunders Island in the northwest, you will see large colonies of breeding black-browed albatross with their young, in addition to 5 penguin species which call this important island home. Travelling south you will visit Bleaker and Sea Lion Islands. Bleaker with its vast sea bird colonies and stunning landscapes combined with the elephant seal colony and frequent orca sightings of Sea Lion will ensure this will be a trip not to be forgotten. The trip concludes with a visit to 3 sites on East Falklands, including Volunteer Point which is home to almost 1000 king penguins.
With several of the 700 or so islands being accessible by air or sea, possibilities are almost endless. There are also several wildlife and historical sites accessible on East Falkland from Port Stanely. Please enquire.
