Skomer lies off the southwestern tip of the Pembrokeshire coastline. It is one of the UK’s most wildlife intense experiences, hosting vast numbers of birds, including the country’s densest sea bird colony. May is when puffins are preparing for their eggs to hatch and feeding their hungry young (known as pufflings). Gannets, razorbills, guillemots, kittiwakes, oystercatchers, curlew and raven are amongst the species which make a home on the island. With a bit of luck, short-eared owl and little owl can be located and pods of harbour porpoises and grey seals are often seen in the island’s clear waters which form a marine reserve.

This tour provides the ideal opportunity to get out to Skomer island for a day, hosted by an expert naturalist.
